The Psychedelic Science Funders Collaborative (PSFC) is a nonprofit organization established to support the advancement of psychedelic medicine, an emerging field presenting potential breakthroughs in treating conditions like PTSD, depression, and addiction. Recognizing the systemic underfunding of this promising sector, PSFC was founded in 2017 to provide critical financial support and expertise to the talented scientists and organizations spearheading psychedelic clinical trials. Its mission also includes advocating for the safe and legal access to psychedelic treatments for all who can benefit from them. PSFC has rapidly grown into an influential player in the field of psychedelic medicine, providing funding and support to several pioneering organizations and research initiatives. The organization has established a community that includes many of the foremost funders of psychedelic medicine research. Through their collaborative efforts, they play a pivotal role in advancing the frontiers of psychedelic research and the delivery of care. In 2020, PSFC further demonstrated its commitment to the field by completing a $30 million fundraising campaign in partnership with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). The funds raised were earmarked for supporting the completion of phase 3 clinical trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy, a landmark initiative in the field of psychedelic medicine. PSFC continues to work towards realizing the full potential of psychedelic medicine.
