Humanize is a wellness company that focuses on leveraging technology to foster real human connection and mental well-being. They have designed a unique approach to deal with the increased rates of stress, anxiety, loneliness and polarization prevalent in our digitally connected world. The main offering of the company is the Humanize Dyad, a groundbreaking partner-based mental practice facilitated securely online through the Humanize App. Grounded in social neuroscience, the Dyad practice aims to build resilience and social capacities such as empathy, compassion, and social connectedness, in just 15 minutes per day. The company offers a 9-week science-based Foundation Dyad Program. This program is designed to help individuals develop a better understanding of their emotional signals, find insights about hidden relationship habits, and handle challenging emotions that people usually tend to avoid. The program aims to enhance the individual's ability to empathize with others, show compassion in their interactions, and improve their listening skills to better understand and support those around them. The program also includes techniques for meaningful communication, strengthening relationships, and fostering deeper connections. Humanize also focuses on developing a broader perspective on shared humanity. It encourages its members to recognize commonalities with people from diverse backgrounds. The platform fosters a sense of belonging by encouraging mutual support and connection with others, promoting a feeling of unity and collective well-being. The company has a high satisfaction rate among its program participants, with 97% expressing satisfaction with their Dyad experience. The scientific and curriculum backbone of Humanize was co-developed by Prof. Dr. Tania Singer, the scientific head of the Social Neuroscience Lab of the Max Planck Society in Germany. From 2021 to May 2023, she played a vital role as the honorary co-founder, scientific, and curriculum advisor. She introduced the team to the Dyad intervention programs she developed, and helped adapt them for Humanize for better scalability and transfer into society in the form of the Humanize Foundation Dyad Program. As of now, she has no active role or shares in the company.
